This will guide you on how to set your Polycom to sign with your account and new password.
The Polycom phone and MS Teams are in synch with each other, synchronization will stop once you have changed your password on your first login.
Making and receiving calls using the Polycom phone is not possible if there is a synchronization failure.
To avoid this issue, please follow the steps below to enter your new password in the Polycom console.
- On the taskbar, right-click the icon that looks like a phone and click on “Launch Phone Web UI”
- The default web browser will open with the following screen, click “Advanced”
- Click on “Continue to X.X.X.X (Unsafe)” this will bring up the Polycom’s logon screen.
- Enter password “789” .
- Upon login look for settings and “Skype for Business Sign In”
- If you have already changed your password, the password field on the screen should be active, enter your new Windows password and click sign in.
The Polycom phone screen should show your phone number on the very top screen as well as your name and you are ready to receive and make calls using the Polycom device.
Please check the following settings on MS Teams to control the Audio settings.
To access the settings, click the three ellipsis on MS Teams and click settings
On the Devices settings, you will see “Custom Setup” and “Polycom Phone…”
- Custom Setup – this is the setting where you can use your camera as a microphone and speaker or headset to communicate
- Polycom Phone- this is the setting where you use the Polycom phone
